Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 194
Spoilt for choice with wintry blips today. The snow has settled on the salty sand. The heavy showers of continental snow race in at frequent intervals between the dazzling sunshine. I managed to time my run in such an interlude again this morning. The school bound children have traded scooters for sledges !
The Edinburgh rush hour traffic ground to a halt and journeys, as one shopkeeper explained, from Port Seton to Portobello were taking an hour and a half! It normally takes about ten. The other distraction on days like this are drivers unable to understand why their front wheel drives fail to grip if they insist on only using first gear!
