Bird up!

Woke up to about four inches of snow. Cleared Fiona's car and she went on her way. Cleared mine and set off shortly after. The roads were in chaos - no gritters or ploughs and down to a single lane. I turned back at the first exit from the A1. Fiona continued on and arrived almost two hours later at work. The day has see-sawed meteorologically between sunshine, blue skys and furious blizzards.

What's one to do? These birds know.
