Giant Dog

This is a massive Moreton Bay Fig Tree in the car park of the local shopping centre. At the moment it's dropping its crop of ripening figs.

This process is helped along by the local native parrots and other birds who love to sit in the tree and munch until they almost burst and can't fly away!

Last night we had a lot of rain. Actually I read in the news today that we had so much rain last night it equalled the usual amount for the whole of March! Amazingly enough I slept through the whole thing!

When we went for the walk this morning I was quite surprised at all the puddles. The rain had knocked down a lot more of the figs too.

The temperature struggled to hit 26c today and right now (9.30pm) it's down to quite a chilly 17c hooray!!! I was starting to think the heat would go on forever!
