Smog in Shinjuku

Thanks to everyone for the hearts, comments, and subscriptions yesterday, it really meant a lot :D Today there was a freak domestic weather event. I've never seen anything like it. I was getting the train towards Tokyo and there was a line in the sky going from blue to a dull red. Inside visibility was down to maybe 1km, and I immediately went into a pharmacy to get a PM 2.5 mask (my first mask in Japan). Outside Shinjuku were a busking band I've seen there before, playing on as if nothing was wrong, and having a very good time.
