Bluebell paradise

My birthday was lovely this year. We had breakfast of croissants and jam in the garden and then went round to my Mums for tea and cake. I gave my Mum a hug !
In the afternoon we went to Carstroman woods near Gatehouse of Fleet. They are ancient oak and beech woods which have the most spectacular carpets of bluebells.
Last year during the first lockdown we missed this walk. So we were doubly glad of the experience this year. We had a little picnic of strawberries and cheese oatcakes in the woods.
I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my sister and family waiting for me when we got home.
