Enzo’s afternoon in ER.

Rabbit developed a small hole behind his left ear yesterday. Using refined keyhole surgery techniques I was able to extract the plastic squeaker. It hadn’t squeaked in months and had become redundant, a bit like the human appendix.

The operation seemed to be going well when suddenly he started haemorrhaging white stuffing from the wound. Before long the stuffing was all over the floor and Rabbit had gone into shock.

He fell totally limp and looked a bit like he’d been flattened under a steamroller. I feared we might loose him completely.

I got the scrub nurse to ring Dr Sparrow on the emergency phone. Luckily she was nearby and stepped in with her sewing kit to help with the operation.

It was touch and go for a while, but we managed to stop the haemorrhage, retransfuse him with fresh stuffing and close the wound just in time for dinner!

Big afternoon!

I took a nap straight after emptying my dinner bowl.
