2021 Sunday — Dinner View

I really wanted to have dinner at the Sizzler Restaurant in Ontario (the one in our town closed before the pandemic happened). Mr. Fun really didn’t want to go that far (not sure how far it is — 12 miles? 20 miles? Heck, we used to drive to Laguna to have dinner, that’s 45 miles), so I suggested Bob’s Big Bob, which is real close to our house.

I was hungry for a quality inexpensive steak, and they have those at the Sizzler. Mr. Fun was of the opinion that Bob’s Big Boy had them too. I didn’t think so, but I just decided not to add my two cents and said, “Yeah, let’s go to Bob’s Big Boy.” What I know is they have a delicious chicken dinner; so, that’s what I ordered. He ordered the small steak and then wanted to split our dinners and so we did. He instantly told me how delicious the chicken was. He’d never had it before and I’ve enjoyed it several times. The steak, well, it was okay, but nothing to write home about.

We both just enjoyed being together and being out of the house. The bonus was the booth we were ushered to in the quiet back section of the dining room and next to the window. Next time I want a steak, I’ll offer to let him go with me and not give him an option.

And that was our Sunday.
