Fluffed & Feathered

Went to bed arou d midnight, slept pretty well. but was wide awake at 6.15!! Lazed a while, downstairs just after 7..... made a cuppa. Had an early chat with daughter, she seems much better today....we were both sat drinking tea, wearing hubs dressing gowns :-)

Watched the birds coming and going in the garden.....got todays blip later this afternoon, after I had refilled the feeders and dishes. The starlings like the mealworms!!

This morning after breakfast, which was two small slices of toasted fruit bread, from the freezer, as it was hubs......enjoyed it, but sooo sweet, I wiped down and applied leather balm to the suite, not been done for too long :-/ Hubs chair is looking a little worse for wear, might need to get it recovered.....its an expensive recliner, but the leather is cracked and tired looking. Something else to sort out!
I wiped down and dusted our bedroom, cleaned all the mirrors, then had a shower and did my hair.

Made a quick mushroom & cheese omlette for my lunch...put towels and bath mat in on hot wash, whilst I walked into town, a couple of things to post, a couple of things to buy... followed by a coffee, "sat in" Costa, which was a bit unnerving as I hadnt been inside to sit, since way before hubs diagnosis :-( Walked back home, the weather had gradually brightened up over the course of the afternoon so was a le to peg out the laundry, planted up the trough for outside the front door with two white trailing begonias and a white geranium. cleared up hubs old strawberry plants in their trough....there are flowers, so havent got rid of them. Weeded and cleared the other planter.....will plant something else in that. Put the new solar lights I bought into the two hanging lanterns... hung them in the tree and on the arbour, but theyve not lit up....think I need to alter the switches :-/

Ive had cottage pie for my dinner tonight.
Watched the Euroviison.....quite enjoyed it, some good songs, wanted Iceland to win, poor UK, as usual bringing up the rear :-/ Had a couple of single bottles of fizz.......enjoyed at for a change!

No crying again today......feel sad, but other than an odd tear not too bad....for now at least. Keep thinking about holidays and going out.....thats because I was looking at sll my nice clothes.....cant see me wearing them any time soon :-( We so enjoyed getting dressed up and going out :-(

Well its late and I am off to my sis's late morning, so its definitely bed time!
