Gorgeous Afternoon

The grandchildren came for the day, as they usually do on Saturdays. It was a lovely afternoon, so we spent much of it outside playing. It felt so normal and lovely after the grief and pain of the last few weeks.

These chives in full bloom caught my eye late this afternoon. Maybe you’ll get a sense of the loveliness of the afternoon.
