Thursday
Morning walk round Burnt stump wood, before the rain arrived...and stayed. Called at Greenwoods bonsai then the long journey home.
Decide on the 'scenic route ' , up the A1 to south of Wetherby then left across Yorkshire and home. The drive up through the woods was wonderful , soft vibrant greens and still with bluebells below. The rain got heavier as did the traffic and just 1.8 miles before the turn off the traffic came to a complete standstill. I was resigned for a long wait but we moved on after 10 minutes.
We'd aimed for a walk along the canal at twin Locks but the rain was really too heavy. Still, we have had 3 days when it stayed dry. ... and a very relaxing break!
