Drastic pruning

A change in the weather today with a strong north wind and clouds, so much cooler.
I had a swim with one friend at the south facing Aghios Dimitrios, where it was a bit less windy but quite chilly. Needless to say there was noone else braving the sea today.
The lovely Eucalyptus trees on the beach have been very drastically pruned. There are no branches  at all left on some of them. This may be good long term, I don't know, but it means there will be no shade on the beach this summer, which seems a shame to me.
Had a video meeting with the social worker and care home people about Mum in the afternoon. The conclusion was that it’s best for her to stay in the home where she is for the moment at least. Also visiting is opening up gradually so my brother and sister are going to drive up and will be able to see her the week after next, and even take her out for a drive.
I can’t really travel over at all until quarantine requirement on arrival is dispensed with.
