Roman Soldiers

We have now returned from our trip to York - shattered but very happy to have been able to spend time with our son and his girlfriend.

These Roman soldiers were standing outside of the Minster yesterday.  Not sure what the man on the left is wearing on his head but it looks like it was once alive!

It was strange being with crowds of people again.  We spend most of our time outside walking around the beautiful city and just went inside to eat (and sleep of course).

I have attached a few other photos from our trip in the Extras. On Saturday I posted a photo of an area that was flooded.  Included in my extra is a further photo of the same area the next day when the flooding had subsided a bit.
