St. Victoire
Another leisurely start to the day. A morning and lunchtime that I don't remember all that much about. In the afternoon we headed to St.Victoire, a volcanic rock formation which can only be described as 'impressionante'! Despite the slightly windy roads to get there and lots of crying to 'J'ai mal au coeur', the view was worth it and the sun was out. On the way back we stopped off at a wind mill with a lovely view across to Saint Victoire. The afternoon was spent in Aix. We met up with Elsa's older sister Vero and her husband and son and Elsa's mum. Vero and her family had lived in Japan for a year and so there was no better authority on all things sushi. This of course involved another trip to eat moshi which then lead to the idea of making Japanese at the house later. We made at least 100 sushi and maki which looked really cool set out on the table. Though I was less keen on the miso soup starter (made even funnier by Elsa's Dad dropping sushi into the soup and splashing everyone!) the sushi was great, particularly the omlette one made by me! It was nice to be at a family dinner that was as hilarious and crazy as my own family back home!
