I imagine it's rare to have all the wedding party alive and present at a 60th wedding anniversary.

This afternoon we had the final celebration for Mum and Dad's Diamond Wedding Anniversary with an afternoon tea for friends and family.

We watched their wedding movie. Over the years it's moved from 8mm film to VHS to DVD. It's hard to watch it without a tear as there are grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends no longer with us. It really is a treasure.

Speaches and a spread that was like another meal. Getting the wedding party together was like herding cats! The original photo was taken at One Tree Hill, today's in hall in Orewa.

It's been a privilege to catch up with aunts, uncles, nephews, neices, siblings and friends. Mum and Dad are beaming :-)

A wonderful occassion on what was yet another fine hot northern day. I think I'll have a cider or 2 with my sister and neice.
