London again

We have just got back from lunch at our favourite pizza restaurant - Santore in Exmouth Market (you can just see it on the right). The staff and lots of the customers are Italian, so it’s authentic, and lively and busy today although it’s barely warm enough to sit outside in the cool breeze.

We came up yesterday evening to go to the opening of the “Epic Iran” exhibition in the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the gala dinner. The dinner was held in the magnificent refurbished Raphael Gallery (extra). MrHCB had to find a suit and tie and I had to dig out some “glad rags” from their moth balls. The worst bit for both of us was having to wear “proper” smart shoes after 15 months of trainers. But it was exciting (and exhausting) to mingle and chat with lots of people.
