After the squelchathon
Norwestie woods walk today was less sniffathon than squelchathon, after all the rain. Shoes off as soon as I got home, much scraping to do when they're dry.
Once down the hill into Cromarty itself, we detoured round the streets a bit. This window caught my eye. Of course, people like us are why other people have net curtains!
In other news, we had a Mr D Cummings giving six hours of evidence to a Westminster Committee on how Covid was handled. Of course most social media comment was prejudged abuse.
I suspended prejudice. He offered no better than public bar opinions on the ethics of vaccine testing. Sounded quite dangerous actually. He didn't seem credible at all on personal things like Barnard Castle. Bur my own experience of UK Civil Service procedures, the total lack of the delivery mindset you would find in industry, and the lack of anyone taking personal responsibility for anything, suggests he was completely credible on that.
