Packwood House

A sunny day forecast, so I booked an entry ticket to Packwood House. It’s National Trust, not too far away, and is a lovely place to stroll, especially when it’s quiet.

They’ve changed their walking routes and their longer one (only about a mile, if that) takes you through the yews, The Sermon on the Mount. That area is usually fenced off from visitors to stop children running amok around the maze.
It was pleasant, especially in the sparkly light.

They seem to have moved their seats again - policy to stop us lingering.

I took a few photos. There isn’t the stunning array of bright flowers yet and the wisteria is fading. I rather liked the glimpse into the main garden from the side.

The locked gate more or less sums it up. No entry apart from the one route, and the walled vegetable garden is still closed. But it’s a delight to just enjoy the views.

Thank you so much for the comments, stars, hearts and lovely comments on my blip yesterday about my return to listen to live music. In this strange world of ups and downs, some things really feel like positive steps.
