First Oreo

Katie ate her first oreo this morning. I say she ate it- more like, she bit it and then asked me to pull it apart so she could eat the cream and abandoned the rest

Mummy fell asleep on the sofa last night, and slept longer than I anticipated. At 4.30, Katie woke, and when I wasnt in my bed, she came down to me and went back to sleep on me. We snuggle-slept for 3 more hours! After breakfast, baths and a play, she got prettied up in one of her favourite dresses, and asked for bunches in her hair. She went and sat in the lounge window, eating her oreo. I then had a moment that made me realise I am completely a "PhotographyMom". The window was giving beautiful backlighting to her. And with little thought, I grabbed the reflector - that was well within quick reach - and resting it on the tv, I bounced it back to her face. But I love the image!

She was a little later than usual to nursery because of her lie-in and our leisurely start, so when she arrived they were all just getting ready to go outside. The whole class was in the cloakroom and sort of mobbed her, which freaked her a bit. Lesley swept through them all though and took her from me for a snuggle. When I'm at the end of our street, I can hear the nursery, and I'm pretty sure I heard her calling happily to her friends as I arrived back home to work.
