George (Day 2213)

It has been a relatively quiet day work-wise. A trip through to town this morning to sort out a loo that was "broken and not flushing". It turned out to be a broken flush button and took 10 minutes to fix, including the trip to the merchants to get the bits.
I headed home and spent a frustrating hour or so sorting out the starter for my pressure washer, but finally managed to get it all back together and working properly before lunch.
After lunch I took Sigyn for a wander at Wasdale. Surprisingly I got her back to the truck without her having wallowed in any mud, waded through any deep water or rolled in anything rotten and rank.
I dropped her off at home then headed to Stromness to deal with a weird noisy pipe problem reported by a customer. There was a definite low rumbling noise from the incoming water main which slowly disappeared when the water was turned off. It had me scratching my head for a while, but I eventually managed to stop the noise.
Next up a wobbly kitchen tap to sort, which meant removing the washing machine to get access to the tap fixings. Putting the washing machine back afterwards was far more difficult than it should have been and took half an hour.
I zoomed along to the shed and put the starter back on the pressure washer and gave it a little test run. Surprisingly it worked. Hurrah!
I met my beautiful wife at the horse field and watched the horses graze in the sunshine. George is always fun to watch while he hoovers up grass. He is the most efficient grazer on the planet.
HV and I are heading out shortly for a curry with P&R for the first time since way before lockdown.
