A murky river Severn
Taken from a different position on Littledean Hill, Cinderford, Gloucestershire, than I have on previous blips.
It's usually very clear but today we had, un-forecasted, rain which made the view quite murky.
Doesn't show up too well but the tide was out so the sandbanks showed up.
A few times a year, when the tide comes in, it swoops up the Bristol Channel with some force which causes the 'Severn Bore' as the river narrows on it's way to Gloucester. When that happens it attracts surfers, kayakers, assorted water lovers and looneys.

Gloucester is the most inland port in the UK and was thriving years ago, still is in some ways and has hosted the Tall Ships and often has sailing ships in for repairs and renovation.
Sharpness docks are still operating and cargo bearing ships make their way up the channel to load and unload.
