Brighton West Pier

To Brighton today to see our eldest daughter and her partner (and their dog), and to have a birthday meal for my wife at a very nice seafront fish restaurant. This is the second time we have been to the restaurant- the first was on the occasion of my daughter's 40th birthday a couple of years ago. A very nice place for a celebratory meal and with a good view of what remains of the West Pier. It appears to have lost some more of its structure since we were last here. The effect of stormy winds and seas, no doubt. Brighton was buzzing this evening including a live band playing at a promenade bar (see inset photo) - the first live music I've heard in well over a year. And the song they were playing as we walked by? "I feel good"!
