The loch
Beautiful clear light on the Loch this morning, and it was warm enough for there to be a fresh smell of pine resin. There is bright new growth on the blaeberries and here and there patches of wood sorrel, chickweed wintergreen and fading wood anemones. Elsewhere, later in the day, the grassy edge of the path was studded with violets (See extra) The geans are thick with blossom and the first birds foot trefoil has appeared just as the black ash buds are starting to open.
