Another river
We’re on the return leg of our much-too-short inland river tour. After four nights in Bourke, on the Darling River, we headed back east today, crossed the Bogan and Barwon Rivers, and are now in delightful farm-stay accommodation on the banks of the Namoi River just outside Narrabri.
The distant hills shown in the photo are the Nandewar Ranges, the result of volcanic eruption 20 million years ago. Much of the area is now included in Mt Kaputar National Park, which we plan to visit tomorrow.
