Hanging out

Nipped out for rolls and bacon and chatted to A whilst we both had breakfast....she says that they’re getting excited about the move, replacing their earlier panic, now they’re looking at houses and realise how much more they’ll get for their money up here,
Left her to relax a bit with Paisley whilst I dashed about making up the beds and finishing the tidying up for the C’s arriving. They rushed in like their usual hurricane and then the afternoon was spent in chatting over tea, having a takeaway sharing lunch of Bao buns and dumplings from a local place, watching Hamilton and the Friends reunion and generally chilling out. The weather was lovely in between a morning and evening haar but I didn’t get out as I should have done. Later, L&M&Ad and I went for dinner at The Walnut and very nice it was too...unfortunately the photos I took there of us all were pretty dreadful.
Problems with taxis on the way home so we started walking, expecting to pick one up on the way, and ended up walking all the way so at least I finally got some steps in! Chatted to L on the way up the hill about H and their worries about her. Parenting is so hard nowadays.
