Plenty of poppies

When Ihad a dog I used to walk past this garden regularly .... at least twice a day. As I drove past the other day I noticed the poppies which are right beside the front wall and reminded myself to stop when I was on my way to church this morning.

No staking or supports of any kind ..... the poppies just grow at the base of a tree with their twisting, kinky stems and tight green buds reminding me of a great gathering of hissing snakes.

Very warm today ....... much too warm for me when there is no cooling sea breeze.
