Garden Visit.

We awoke this morning expecting sunshine or at least a clear day but discovered instead a good thick haar. It was bad enough that walking Chloe down the wood was like a rain shower - under the trees!
However it did clear and the sun did get his hat on and MaggieD discovered that there was an open garden nearby so off we drove for the opening time of 2.00 pm. We left Chloe as the mercury was hitting 22C at that point. Phew!
As the above pics show, the garden was just stunning and rather large. I have included a shot of a lovely meconopsis just because I like them but for some reason we cannot grow them in our own garden.
Today’s extra is a sign which has been in place outside our garden for a few days. Our little bit of road is to close for re-surfacing. I suspect tomorrow will be a real comedy when a good few drivers turn the corner thinking that the sign doesn’t apply to them!
