Heron-off
Bitterly cold again today but at least it was bright. I wrapped myself up and hiked round Seventy Acres Lake.
As I stood on one of the bridges over the water with the wind whistling around me this Grey Heron landed on a bank. I sidled across the bridge and scrambled through brambles trying to get into position to tog it. I got one shot of its eye peering at me through the undergrowth and then it took off.
