Life In Wales

Beach Time!

After breakfast Rach and I took the girls to the beach for a couple of hours while Alan did a few touch ups to the painting.

It was so warm, it felt like we were on holiday, and so nice to have a proper sandy beach with the mountains in the background. We struggled to find a parking space, but surprisingly the beach didn’t seem too busy, certainly not like Brighton on a sunny bank holiday weekend! The girls loved it, and even went in the sea, it was so nice to see them having fun.

They had lunch when we got home and then they left, Rach wanted to set off before the rest of the traffic and it was a good decision as she said the roads were quiet and she got home in an hour.

Tonight we were invited to neighbours Sam and Alan for a drink and nibbles. They’re literally just round the corner and moved here in November from Bristol. Sam said it was a strange time to move as they were very quickly in lockdown so didn’t get to meet any of the neighbours. I guess we timed our move just right with everything opening up again. Anyway, we had rather a late night, but it was so nice to get dressed up and forget about the decorating for a few hours!

Thank you for all the hearts and stars and yesterday’s sunset x
