The summer's really here and it's time to come out

At last. 

almost the very end of May, and we are finally rewarded with sunshine. 

Long weekend... Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Lovely. 

We have been very busy - me not so much yesterday after my exersions on Saturday, but I did potter. 

Today, I made up for it. I cut the front grass; cur the back grass, cut the hedge at the front... pondered making a cat shape out of it, but thought the better of it, because it's not really our hedge - it's our neighbour's but it borders our garden. 

I painted all my troughs; and then I used the chain saw thing - to trim the ivy and the leylandes which are hanging over from the neighbour over the back's garden. 

Himself?  He toddled to BQ and picked up  gravel, cement mix and sand and then came home - laid out the space; got ready with his wee mallet and spirit level and got laying. 

There are 9 of 20 laid.  And then we had not more cement.   He had no idea how much to buy to do this - as least now we know how much more we'll need to finish it. 

Discovered my colleage has to self isolate for 10 days.  Her son works in a restaurant and 5 people have tested positive for the indian varient.  So my colleage and her three sons are now confined to baracks.  I'm so glad she was working from home last week.
