The Conductor and His Crew

Do you see the lady in the peach jacket? That's Blip's own Naturelover (Shelley.) Beside her is her daughter Becky. In the picture to the left of the girls is Shelley's husband Al (in the blue jacket.)

Why are they here? Well, it might be because they are fine Americans, and they are honoring the dead on Memorial Day.

But, in addition, all three of them are here to see their son (and grandson) Brody leading the band.

A lot of us have been through the "lasts." The lasts of a high school senior. Brody graduated yesterday, and today he is leading his group of musicians for the last time.

It affected me a few times emotionally during the service, so I KNOW that it affected his support crew. Not pictured is Brody's dad Ron, who also was in attendance.

Brody is a fine young man, and he gives me hope for the future.
