Hark do you hear the sea?

This is the memorial for mercantile mariners who died in wars on Wharf Rd.   I chose it because of the anchor which has a silent h for this week's MM challenge.   Many thanks to Laurie for hosting this month.

I have been unable to find out who created it but it seems to have been dedicated in 1994.  I will need to do a bit of digging I think.  The quote is from Shakespeare - King Lear.

The seas were huge and you could almost hear them from the memorial.  The view to the right towards Nobbys is in the extra where you can see some of those huge waves.
