In a cloud

We've been inside a cloud all day, watching the mist drift past our windows in smoke-like trails. In its midst, shining from the pond, is our first yellow flag of the year, surrounded by lots more buds (see Extras). They really do brighten a grey day! Lots of greenfinches, goldfinches, dunnocks (feeding babies), and blackbirds today - plus one woodpigeon and, very briefly, one crow!

Thanks so much for all the lovely reactions to my flowers yesterday. I was right is suspecting this would turn into a floral week in my journal.
