Back in the air

The wind dropped out and it even got warm - 23C at one stage which is a real heat wave here.
So off we trotted up to South Uist to drone a few islands. It always amazes how one can see such diffrent things from the perspective of above.
Certainly today an untidy  pile of stones less than 100m from the main road that I have driven past over 200 times revealed itself today to be an interesting site with a probable Iron Age site being reused in Medieval times.
The site in the backgorund here was the same but the tower makes it rather more obviuos - indeed it was one of South Uist's foci of power in that period. The causeway leading to it is just visible behind us.
