Mobile laundry
This Winnebago has been parked on the road beside a beach for the past few days and I chuckle every time I walk or drive by it. It moves around, and this morning it was parked in a decent spot for me to get a photo of it. I bet that machine works, and if it does, what a great idea to be able to do laundry without searching for a laundromat. There hasn't been a laundromat on the island for at least five years, but a new spot has been found and people are working hard to open a new one. Excellent news for those who don't have laundry facilities at home or who are living rough and need a place to wash their clothes.
I went out early for a walk before it got too hot, then toiled in the heat for a few hours in the garden. I weed whacked the "lawn" - we don't have a grass lawn, just whatever grows around the veggie beds, and I find that the weed whacker does a better job than the push mower.
Extra: I took a photo of a tree down the road that has quite a few caterpillar "tents" on it and most of the leaves have been eaten. When we were talking with a neighbour yesterday, he told us that he had asked a friend if they had many of the caterpillars and they don't - but their neighbour across the street has a major infestation. Weird how that goes! I've done a couple of rounds of the place and am hoping that they'll slow down soon. They've started spinning their cocoons, so I'm on the lookout for those as well. It's almost a full time job! :-)
