2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps

A welcome change to the usual routine when we headed out at 5.00pm to walk to the Black Horse at Thurnham for a drink or two in the pub garden. Walking meant we worked up a thirst and walking back made you feel virtuous!

We promised ourselves an evening pub walk last year and the year before and probably the year before that too. Tonight was the night. Busy, rather naively, we didn’t book not thinking we’d need to. Fortunately, a space for two was found for us.

The beer was excellent, a couple of pints of Camden IPA went down a treat, a really enjoyable drink. The price of a pint was much higher than the last time I bought one!

We were brought our first drink which we thought was very pale. Very tasty all the same and we got stuck in only to be presented with two further pints of the Camden IPA as they’d brought the wrong beer out. Shame I hadn’t drunk more of the first!
