Sunshine in the rain

An unexpected wet day! And it’s still dull and drizzly in the late evening. Very welcome after several days of warm sunshine. Most of the rest of the country seems to have had a sunny day.

I spent a wet but enjoyable morning at the allotment, sowing and hoeing. Nobody else (sensibly) around with only the birds singing loudly all around for company. A chance to enjoy the plot without the distraction of talking about the Council’s plans for the site.

The rain didn’t stop us going for a walk which is where I spotted these cheerful ox eyed daisies smiling at us resplendent with their raindrop adornments.

Excitement mounts as its two weeks today that we travel to the Lakes for 10 days. Anyone fancy a blipmeet up there? I’ve put a comment on the relevant page. Clickychick and Jerra are keen to join us.
