Frozen
This young hare froze as Elvis and I approached it today. Elvis did as he was told and laid down while I inched closer with my little Nikon (why did I not take the big one in the rain? - Answers on a postcard). This is as close as I could get before it ran off. We have seen loads of hares this year. Probably a result of the reduced hunting (covid restrictions all last year), which left more of them alive, combined with the fact that they breed like, well, er, rabbits - so to speak.
