Take the long way home..

Yes, Supertramp was buzzing in my head as I was driving home today because after a dull and rainy day this happened on the way home. I had poured buckets earlier and the wind was whipping the rain at the windows. I had been at my sisters and it was dark most of the day. Sometime before 6 p.m. it got a little brighter and then the rain stopped.
When I got onto the parkway the clouds started moving so fast and there were layers of clouds of all types. The sun was trying to break thru and it was like watching a movie with the fast forward button pushed on the remote. At one point there was a huge beam of creamcicle colored sunlight bursting thru the clouds and hitting just a small area on the ground. It looked amazing! Like an alien spaceship beaming someone aboard!
Right before I hit the Driscoll Bridge the clouds started to part and the blue sky shone thru with the sunlight giving the clouds a pink hue. It was quite a show.
