Trees and leaves

Art class today. Finished this watercolor I'd been working on of colorful trees and falling leaves. It feels so good to finish a project. At the start when you are just sketching it on the paper it doesn't look like much. Adding the paint is my favorite part. The colors bring it to life.
After art class I had my bookclub lunch. We just finished reading the classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It was written in the 1950's and yet it was every bit as good today. We had a great lunch and talked about everything, including a few minutes dedicated to the book. We kept trying to talk about the story but kept comparing it to life today which would get us off track all over again. A great time though. Lots of laughs.
It's nice and sunny today and 50F so I think everyone is just in a giddy, good moods!
