Grand Canyon....

well, Scottish version, the wonderful Ailnack Gorge on a brilliant sunny morning. It never fails to impress and today was no exception. The walking was great, the weather excellent and the wildlife spectacular!  Saw an Eagle being mobbed by a Kestrel, the pair of Peregrines at their nest site and then screaming at the Corvids. It is such a quiet location that any noise re -echoes and magnifies with the canyon walls and Peregrines screech loudly! Searched for the elusive Ring Ousels that i could hear calling and eventually found and adult and young sitting in the Junipers. Delighted, its the extra.
Found the first Orchid and dozens of Pansies in the turf.
Overlooking the whole location were the snow streaked summits of Lochnagar, Ben A'an and Ben a'Bhuird.
Just a great day!
