Waterloo Station

This is the clock at the centre of Waterloo Station, one of London's busiest termini. Countless people will have arranged to meet under it including, no doubt, Terry and Julie who in the Kinks song, Waterloo Sunset, meet at the station every Friday before heading off to the river to view the setting sun. It was my first trip to London or, indeed, on a train for 15 months. I went to see Show of Hands (Phil Beer and Steve Knightley) perform at Cecil Sharp House, home of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. Wonderful to be back in an audience for live music after so long in lockdown.
