Peri peri!

Not much planned for today except we decided to visit Guia which is the home of peri-peri chicken. Blip is logo of one of the most famous restaurants in the town.

Apparently the Portuguese brought birds-eye chillies to Mozambique where they cooked them with chicken and hey presto, peri peri chicken was invented! Now you know...

Anyway, it makes for a tasty lunch. You eat the chicken with fries and a tomato and onion salad, all delicious!

At night we had the joy of getting a Covid test in the local test centre - it was pretty brutal, heard a man screaming on the way in and knew it was going to be ‘ouch’. Still, needs must, and a couple of hours later I was delighted to get the email confirming all of us were negative and ‘fit to fly’. Mind you, might have been nice to have to stay longer in the sun! ;)
