Super light

Last night I tweeted a photograph of the lovely light we experienced after the rain finally subsided and the view came back into view. This morning, we had some gorgeous rich and clear light over breakfast and whilst we were packing the room. I couldn’t resist. It’s really not a bad view for a hotel.

We deviated from the obvious route home to go via Loch Avich and over to Taynuilt, where Mr A got his blip. I have some relatively similar photographs, but decided to go with this (phone photo). Apart from that, we just drifted home, amidst reasonably heavy but not too irritating traffic. The necessaries were fetched from the supermarket (including some compost to pot out the new plants we bought yesterday), and the afternoon was spent substantially on the balcony, potting out said plants (after I picked up another new pot from Anything and Everything) and then enjoying a couple of beers in the sunshine.

What a wonderful short holiday. But as always, we are happy to be home (especially when the sun shines). The balcony is indeed looking good, but will keep me busy with watering for the next few weeks, assuming it stays dry. There are also quite a few blips in it, thank goodness!
