Tiny Visitor

A quiet Sunday - after getting meowed out of my bed too early by hungry cats. 

I did very little, apart from feeding said cats, and a little gardening. 

One of the houses close to us has a pond in the garden, which is almost invisible because it's so overgrown with bamboo. They are breeding mosquitoes in there, I think (because we have so many of these little pests each summer), but the pond also provides a home for dragonflies and damselflies. 

This is a female azure damselfly resting on the oregano in our herb bed. 
I hope she stays in our garden and eats lots of mosquitoes.
