Mono Monday - Ready.....to Fall

G and I went for an early morning circular walk on West Runton beach this morning all the way to Cromer where we stopped for a coffee for G and a 99 for me - it must be a couple of years since I've had one and I really enjoyed it. Someone had been busy stacking flints on the beach, there must have been at least a dozen towers. They certainly looked precarious and 'ready' to fall. A bit of tennis watching this afternoon, and sitting in the garden, and a couple of hours clearing weeds over in the field to keep them away from my garden.

Day 448 / Day 22 of Step 3 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
From tomorrow morning, people over 25 in England can book their jab, in Scotland 18 to 29 year olds have been asked to register for their vaccination which will start in mid-June, and Wales will offer all adults a jab by mid-June. At 3/6, 12,386 cases were identified as having the Delta variant, 464 presented at emergency care and 126 were admitted to hospital. Of those admitted, 83 were unvaccinated, 28 had had one jab, and only 3 had received both doses (no mention of the other 12!). Surge testing is being deployed in Calderdale, West Yorkshire following cases of the Delta variant. The Delta variant now makes up 3/4 of all new cases. A former CSA calls for the next step of easing to be delayed due to 'evidence' of a third wave, and reminds us that 400 new cases a day are in people who have had the vaccine twice. As predictable, the number of flights from Portugal has been doubled to enable holidaymakers to return before the deadline for moving to Amber, requiring 10 days self isolation. They've faced big price hikes on fares, trouble getting hold of tests, and long delays.
