What do you mean, you never checked the turn?

Cromarty's street layout is 18th century, with some new bits on the outskirts. So deliveries cause no end of grief. This truck blocked the road for an hour while a crane got the container over the wall. Then it reversed the way it came, all parked cars having to be moved away. Lucky all  the owners were around.

Every few days the pub gets catering supplies. The lorry parks in a parallel street and the goods are wheeled up. The extra's another example of someone getting building supplies.

The bakery has regular flour deliveries. The lorry can't turn onto the road, so it reverses from the other end and happy chaos ensues.

Our own shipment of floor slates to the refurb house (see 6th April blip) blocked the street for an hour.

And everyone's used to it. We start down a street and it's blocked. We just back up and go round another way. Visitors, on the other hand, do rather panic.
