Slightly used automobiles

Today was our day off and it was one of those rainy days in which we just felt like we needed to get out of here a little bit. See some other sights, walk some other streets, you know what I mean.

So we drove to a local town and did some walking in the rain. We paused at a thrift store and we went in and looked around a bit. I happened to see these bags of hotwheels cars and on a bit of a whim, and a tip of the hat to my childhood, I bought a bunch of the bags for two dollars each.

I’ll share them with the church kids, and certainly my own grandchildren can have some to play with and take home. But for today I’m having fun looking at them, looking up their history a bit. Some of these things have a long history into the 1960s.

That all made today an enjoyable day off.
