Brunch and church

This morning with the rain continuing to fall, Lauralea and I ate in the sunroom. It was a delightful time together.

Then our time gently shifted to worship and prayers for the morning. The birdsong played the background to worship.

It was quite a lovely morning.

And then the txts started coming. Somebody on Facebook said something that was provocative. People were hurt. I was quite disturbed by it all, the post and the responses.

It has made me incredibly sad and I suppose, overwhelmed. There has been so much work to do around here even apart from social media. This will set some people back a good deal.

Words have consequences and social media is just a megaphone for those words.

Sigh.

As long as there is social media, there will be work for pastors.
