Tiptree (Saturday 5th June 2021)

While I was watering plant pots in the evening, this scratchy-faced bruiser sloped up the garden path and sprawled across it with a "what are you going to do about it" cattitude. When I got a bit nearer with the watering can he decided discretion was the better part of valour and left.

I have named him Tiptree.

In order to make Saturday's slightly different to other mornings I have recently been arising to Radio Three's Breakfast show, presented on Saturdays by Elizabeth Alker, known to 6 Music listeners as Alcapops from when she provided their Music News. She also curates Radio Three's always interesting late night programme Unclassified. On this morning she played this reworking of Erland Cooper's piece from Holm, to be found on Holm - Variations & B-Sides, as realised by Bill Ryder-Jones, once the guitarist in the band The Coral.
