‘Now, it’s the moorhens…’

First the ducks, then the swans, then the coots, and now the moorhens look like they’re about to produce the next generation on Inverleith Pond!

Today I spotted this one making its determined way with reinforcements towards a pretty well hidden nest in the reed bed at the end of the pond. (See extra photo).
